lard, porky, poultry fat, etc.
-Hydrogenated fats: These fats also raise blood cholesterol. This is common in margarine and shortening.
-Polyunsaturated and Monounsaturated fats: This fats are the two unsaturated. They are found mainly in many fish, nuts , seeds and oil from plants.
-Trans-fatty Acids and Hydrogenated: Unsaturated fatty acids can be in one of two shapes- ¨cis¨ and ¨trans¨. These terms refer to the physical positioningof hydrogen atoms around the carbon chain. Trans-fatty acids are also formed during the process of hydrogenetion. ¨Hydrogenate¨ means to add hydrogen.
