Chapter seven.

Miss Alina, here is the composition you told me to post in our blog.

Write a reaction paragraph describing the main topics of the chapter and how self-esteem and course chorse are presented in this chapter.

In my opinion, Bill's reaction is very important for Jess. Jess's father is always working and he doesn't have time to be with him. Jess is not important for him. Bill behaves like a father, he is very good with him and he values everything he does. He is always telling good things to Jess. He pays attention to him, no like his real father. All this makes Jess happy, because nobody had ever praised him in his family the way they did in Leslie's house.
Something that is shown in this chapter is team work. Jess is used to being in a house where they don't talk too much to each other, they don't tell nice things to their family. But in Leslie's house they all help each other, they work in group, all together.
Leslie, Jess and Bill repaird the house but not as an obligation, because they wanted and they made this time funny and special.

Free to be you and me.
I am a little poor boy
I have 16 sisters,
And my father died
In Vietnam war
PEACE! Is the only thing I want
I don’t wish anybody to live my same story
Everybody need his father as me
This war is killing much more than fathers
Is killing LOVE
Is killing HOPENES
Is killing HAPPINES
Is killing EVERYTHING!

Imagine you are a student at Lark Creek Elementary. Your teacher, Miss Edmunds, has asked you to write a poem about been “Free to be you”. This theme appears over and over again in “Bridge to Terabithia”. Why is it difficult to stay true to ourselves? (at school, with friends, at work, at home… Everywhere).

Free to be you.
What you think
And what you do,
Will take the best of you.
Tell the world what you think,
You can change many things.
Every problem you have,
you can make it go round.
Trust yourself,
Think in huge,
Is the best you can do.
This way you will have
Many things that are tough.
Don´t forget you have,
The power of your mind.
Authors: Maca Zerda & Martu Isasmendi.

Say what you think

If we don’t say
What we think,
This can change
the way to see

we have to say what we think
this means to be like me.

We don’t have to dreams to
Do this.
Because this is not very good to me.

If we don’t say this is going to be
Not what we think.

So i want to say what we think
So i want to say what i like to be
This i like this!.

Now my heart is over.
With the sad war.
I say it louder.
As Miss Edmund when the witch comes out.

I am a common person
I am afraid of losing LOVE
Send POEM to 8008
If you want to finish that.

At school, at home and everywhere
I have that feeling
That is killing me.
Lalalalalala.

At night I dream with a better world
With no more wars,
I gotta say it
STOP!

Free to be you

Free to be you and me

Why do we lie to our friends.
Why is it difficult say the truth.
Why can’t we stay true to ourselves.
We have to be free to be us.

Be free like a bird.
Always flying to the sun.
And not staying in the darkness.
Fly just to find out your real world.

Free to be you and me.
Short words that describe what we have to be.
Express what you feel.
Be loyal to yourselves.
