What is anorexia nervosa ?

Anorexia nervosa is a serious, occasionally chronic , and potentially life-threatening eatin disorder. People with this disorder don´t eat even when they are hungry , and although they are skinny they see them selves really fat ( disorted body image ) .

Medical complications:

starvation can cause damage to vital organs like heart, kidneys and brain. Pulse and rate blood pressure drop and people with anorexia can suffer heart faillure.Skin dries up, hair falls off , and they can suffer of bones problems.

Who develops anorexia nervosa ?

Anorexia nervosa tends to occur in pre-or post-puberty but can develop at any time throughout the lifespan.
